Welcome to Disk Art

Remember those 3 ½” floppy disks used on computers for backing up, transferring or saving files? Many people had several of these disks. Some, like me were “back-up” freaks and saved everything on those little disks, collecting literally hundreds of them. With the continuous advancement of computers and technology, these disks have become obsolete.

So, what has become of the millions of disks made from plastic and metal? Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing that can be done with them – except load our landfills and destroy our environment.

In the wake of Green Awareness, I decided to do something about it. I could not live with the guilt of throwing away so much non-biodegradable material. So, I gathered up all my old disks and rescued thousands more, and decided to create recycled art with them. Now, instead of adding to the destruction of our environment, these disks have become art that can last a lifetime.
